    1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting infrastructure may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

  • IP address

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system

  • Referring URL

  • Pages visited and timestamps
  • This technical data is used solely for security monitoring and service reliability. It is not used to identify you personally, build user profiles, or serve advertising.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, biometric data, precise geolocation, or government-issued identification numbers through our website or contact form. Please do not submit such information unless specifically requested during a contracted engagement with appropriate safeguards in place.

    2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

    (a) To respond to your inquiries. We use your contact information and project details to respond to questions or requests you submit through our contact form.

    (b) To provide services. If you engage us for a project or ongoing services, we use your information to deliver, manage, and improve those services.

    (f) To comply with legal obligations. We may use or retain your information as required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

    3. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Forge Technologies uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including large language models, as part of our service delivery and internal operations. This section describes how AI is used and how your information is affected.

    3.1 How We Use AI

AI tools may be used to:

  • Assist in reviewing, summarizing, and drafting responses to client and prospect communications

  • Summarize project requirements and support project management workflows

  • Support internal operational and administrative tasks
  • When you submit information through our contact form or communicate with us, the content of those communications -- including your name, email address, company name, and project details -- may be processed by AI tools to assist our team.

    3.2 Human Oversight

AI is used as an assistive tool to support human decision-making. All AI-generated outputs are reviewed by Forge Technologies personnel before any action is taken. No consequential decisions about you, your account, or your engagement with us are made solely by automated means.

    3.3 AI and Your Data

  • No model training. We use AI tools through commercial API services that do not use customer-submitted data to train or improve their models.

  • Data minimization. We limit the personal information submitted to AI systems to what is necessary for the specific task. We do not submit sensitive personal information (as described in Section 1.3) to AI tools.

  • Third-party processing. When your information is processed by a third-party AI service provider, that provider's data handling practices apply to data in transit and during processing. We select AI providers that maintain commercially reasonable security standards and contractual commitments regarding data use.

  • Retention by AI providers. AI service providers may temporarily retain input and output data for abuse monitoring and safety purposes in accordance with their terms of service, but not for model training.
  • 3.4 Your Right to Object

You may request that your personal information not be processed by AI tools. To make this request, contact us at team@forge.tech with the subject line "AI Processing Opt-Out." We will accommodate such requests where feasible, though it may affect the speed or scope of our service delivery.

    3.5 AI in Communications

If you receive a communication from us that was substantially generated or drafted by AI, it was reviewed and approved by a human member of our team before it was sent. We do not use AI to autonomously contact you without human authorization.

    4. Disclosure of Your Information

4.1 We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

Forge Technologies does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months.

    4.2 Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to support our operations, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers -- for data storage, computing, and email delivery

  • AI service providers -- for AI-assisted communication and workflow processing as described in Section 3

  • Business tools -- for invoicing, contract management, and related administrative functions
  • These service providers are contractually required to use your personal information only as directed by us, to maintain appropriate security measures, and not to use your information for their own independent purposes.

    4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your personal information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or governmental authority, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Forge Technologies, our clients, or the public.

    4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other business transition, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you as required by applicable law if such a transfer occurs.

    4.5 No Other Third-Party Sharing

Except as described in this Section 4, we do not share your personal information with third parties.

    5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website does not use cookies, pixels, web beacons, or similar tracking technologies for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking purposes.

Our hosting infrastructure may use essential technical mechanisms (such as server logs) necessary for website operation and security. These do not track you across websites or build profiles about you.

    5.1 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request under applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act.

    6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for the duration of our active business relationship with you, plus three (3) years following its conclusion, unless a longer period is required by law.

The business relationship begins when you first contact us and continues through any active services agreement, including any post-engagement warranty or support period.

At the end of the retention period, we securely delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with our data disposal procedures.

Certain records may be retained longer where required by:

  • Federal or Michigan state tax laws and regulations

  • Applicable statutes of limitation governing contract or tort claims

  • A legal hold arising from pending or threatened litigation, regulatory inquiry, or government investigation

  • 7. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest

  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need

  • Regular review of data handling practices and security configurations

  • Use of cloud infrastructure providers that maintain industry-standard security certifications
  • No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    7.1 Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach involving your personal information that triggers notification obligations under applicable law -- including Michigan's Identity Theft Protection Act (MCL 445.72) and other state breach notification statutes -- we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required.

    8. Infrastructure and Data Location

Your personal information is stored and processed using cloud infrastructure located in the United States. Our cloud service providers maintain industry-standard security certifications. Data is protected by encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and the provider's physical and logical security measures.

We do not transfer personal information outside the United States in the ordinary course of business.
